“Your future is whatever you make it, so make it a good one!” • Today I had a blast in Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Island of Adventure. (see stories) Among my favorite rides are the E.T. Adventure and the new Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure. As a big Back to the Future fan I was also really happy to discover the Jules Verne Train as seen in one of the most thrilling scenes of Back to the Future III. There are rumors that J.K. Rowling actually saved the BTTF train from being turned into a Hogwarts Express at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. ? ”Good morning! And in case I don’t see ya, good afternoon, good evening, and good night!” • After an adventurous cinematic road trip through Georgia I arrived in Florida for many more gorgeous filming locations, from Seaside to Key West. ? I guess most of you saw Seaside on the big screen as fictious Seahaven in “The Truman Show” with Jim Carrey as the involuntary star of a 24-hour reality TV soap. When I heard this place is an actual town I knew I definitely wanted to visit it sometime. The business district in the movie needed a little bit of CGI support but the other locations are pretty much as seen on screen, especially the Truman House in 31, Natchez Street. Note: The well-known shared flat of Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch) and John Watson (Martin Freeman) is not as expexted at Baker Street 221b. When you look for Platform 9 ¾ and you finally realize it’s on Platform 4 & 5…. Hi from Kings Cross Station! ? I’ve been here before but every time I’m in London I come here to see how many people try to reach the Hogwarts Express. ? For Potterheads there’s a photo spot with a Platform 9 ¾ sign the station authorities decided to place due to popular request. And as I saw today you still have to queue up for this… (see my story). They oughta stick this face on a stamp, whaddya think.” Rocky to Adrian • Totally in Rocky mode I’ve joined an amazing tour to various iconic filming locations in Philadelphia with Mike Kunda on his @theyophillyrockyfilmtour (swipe through gallery). I think there is no better guide to discover the Rocky spots as he is so passionate about what he does. He knows all the neighborhoods (and to be honest in some areas I wouldn’t dare to go alone) and he’s the perfect Rocky impersonator. Over the years a true friendship developed between him and Sylvester Stallone (@officialslystallone). Live together or die alone. • The ending of LOST’s final episode seems to be one of the most misunderstood, confusing and discussed in the history of TV Shows. But that made me curious to find that filming location all the more. So on my way to Honolulu I stopped by at the Sacred Hearts Academy which welcomed me to have a look at their chapel (please call or mail them in advance if you wanna visit -> @sacredheartsacademy). This is where the last scenes of the episode ”The End“ were filmed. [AD] Hi from the Dragonstone Cliffs where Jon and Daenerys (and of course Drogon ?) share a moment together in Season 7. The real-life location is the impressive Fair Head which rises 600ft above sea level. It’s a great destination for a 1-2 hour hike with spectacular views. I wish to enter my vault!✨ • What a great scene at Gringotts in „Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2“ with Hermione pretending to be Bellatrix Lestrange, Ron given a fake identity as a disguise and Harry and Griphook under the Invisibility Cloak. Now I was able to walk through that impressive marble hall by myself as doors to Gringotts just opened at the Warner Bros. Studio Tour in London. It really felt like I’ve stepped right into the place itself. ? • Thank you so much @wbtourlondon for inviting me to see this brand-new part of the studio tour. The Stranger in Netflix’s „Dark“ is my favorite character of the show. So I was very happy to meet brilliant actor @andreaspietschmann in Berlin to speak with him about his role, time travel productions in general and the meaning of the locations for the art of acting ➡️ see link in bio for the interview in German. The van flip is one of my favorite scenes in ”Stranger Things“ season one. So I definitely wanted to check out where it was filmed. Turned out the filming took place on Sarahs Lane in Tucker, northeast of Atlanta. ? When I stood there to take these pics a neighbor came to me and asked if I’m here because of the potholes in the street… Sadly had to disappoint her. ?
